Nepal Airlines has resumed service from Kathmandu to two destinations in India

On 1 September the carrier returned to Bengaluru (BLR) for the first time since January 2006, while on 4 September Mumbai (BOM) services were re-started. The 1,796-kilometre Bengaluru route will be served thrice-weekly using A320s and 757s facing no direct competition, while the 1,590-kilometre Mumbai route (which was last served in April 2009), will be flown twice-weekly (Mondays and Fridays) using A320s. The latter route will face direct competition from Jet Airways, which operates a four times weekly service. Nepal Airlines now operates non-stop to seven destinations outside of Nepal; three in India (Delhi was already being served), Bangkok, Doha, Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur. All of the airline’s international routes are flown by a mix of its two A320s and two 757s.
