Allegiant to withdraw B757s, axe Hawaiian flights in 2016

Allegiant Air has announced plans to retire its fleet of five B757-200s by the beginning of 2017. In a statement, the budget carrier said instead of sending the aircraft in for costly D Checks, the fleet would be withdrawn beginning with two aircraft this year followed by others in 2016.
