The 501-kilometre route will be served by the airline’s 44-seat ATR 42-500s (of which it has two) and faces no competition. In fact, the only services at El Nido Airport, which serves the ‘vacation paradise’ of El Nido on the island of Palawan, appear to be those offered by AirSWIFT to Manila and Cebu. Although the AirSWIFT name is new, the carrier can trace its roots back to 2002 when it began operations as Island Transvoyager, Inc (ITI Air).
