Shenzhen Airlines, a regional subsidiary of Air China, is now waiting government approval to launch two nonstop services to Jeju, South Korea from its hub and Nantong in this March.
Pending government approval, the Shenzhen Airlines will operate the Shenzhen-Jeju service using Airbus 320 or Boeing 737-800 aircraft with three flights weekly. Meanwhile, the Nantong-Jeju route will be operated four times a week, using A320 aircraft.
The Air Transportation Department of CAAC is soliciting public comments on the application until Feb. 24, 2016.
