Air Bishkek (KR, Bishkek) suspended operations in February following a period of financial difficulties an airline official has told Russia's Aviation Explorer news.
According to the report, the Kyrgyz carrier's last commercial flight was in February following which its sole aircraft, A320-200 EX-32002 (cn 386), was ferried to Zhytomyr, Ukraine for maintenance.
The official states that should the carrier fail to resume flights in May, having missed an April deadline, then all may be lost.
"If we do not fly in May, then, in my opinion, we will not fly at all. To return to the market during the low season we will require a completely different amount of money," they said.
The Kyrgyz Civil Aviation Authority says that in light of these developments, it will take Air Bishkek management to task before deciding on their next step.
