The owner of Tassili Airlines, state-owned oil company Sonatrach Group, has signed an agreement on 19 June 2025 with Air Algérie in which the national airline is set to take ownership of Tassili Airlines.
The deal is part of the plan to improve Algeria's internal air connectivity.
No timelines have been communicated about when the ownership is transferred and it's also unclear if the Tassili Airlines-brand will continue to exist.
The airline was established in 1998 by Sonatrach to shuttle staff and material for their oil operations across Algeria.
