Having started service to Kuala Lumpur on 10 February, the carrier has now added Yangon (RGN) in Myanmar to its network from Kathmandu (KTM). The twice-weekly (Mondays and Fridays) 1,630-kilometre service will be flown using the airline’s A320s of which it currently has two. There is no competition on this new route. With this connection Himalaya Airlines increases its share of international seat capacity from Nepal to 4.5%, ranking it sixth behind Jet Airways (13.8%), Nepal Airlines (11.1%), flydubai (9.0%), Air Arabia (8.3%) and Qatar Airways (5.4%).
