The amazing turnaround of National Carrier, Garuda Indonesia continues apace as the world class, five star airline has now announced firm plans for a massive expansion of its European presence by the end of 2015.
Two new routes from its operating base in the country's capital city, Jakarta are to be flown on the brand new Boeing 777 aircraft due to arrive in the fleet later this summer. With Paris and Frankfurt as the preferred new destinations, the existing route which serves both Amsterdam and London is also being upgraded to a daily service.
The companys President Director, M. Arif Wibowo, noted that Germany and France had been chosen as the countries economic growth is more stable as compared to other European countries.
"The European growth is still two to three percent with the biggest growth recorded by Germany and France. Frances growth is still lower than Germanys," he elaborated.
To enable the growth of the European routes, Garuda will be operating a total of 10 long haul aircraft providing first class, business class and economy options on all flights to Europe.
There plans announced confirm that there will be four flights per week between Jakarta, Paris and Frankfurt by the end of 2015 and inaddition Garuda Indonesia will soon announce new routes to China and the Middle East.
