Gambia Birds is planning to launch operations later this summer as a joint venture between the Gambian government and Germania subsidiary Flynext The new airline plans to initially serve Conakry G'bessia International Dakar Yoff-Léopold Sédar Senghor International , Freetown Lungi International, Lagos Murtala Muhammad from Banjul with an A319-100 operated by Flynext as well as destinations in Spain and the UK where it will also cooperate with tour operators.
