Sichuan Airlines has named Amsterdam Schiphol Melbourne Tullamarine International and Vancouver International as the first three intercontinental destinations it plans to serve from its hub at Chengdu Shuangliu International

It will use its three A330-200s for the new flights that it currently still mainly uses on domestic services as well as on leisure flights to Saipan Francisco C. Ada International . Sichuan also has a single A330-300 on order. Vancouver will likely be its first intercontinental destination and be served via Shenyang Taoxian International  as early as June of this year. Besides Saipan, Sichuan Airlines currently only operates to Hong Kong, Indonesia, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.
