ARJ21-700 AC104 flies to Urumchi for natural icing flight test

ARJ21-700 AC104 took off from the airport of China Flight Test Establishment in Yanliang at 10:38 a.m., stopped over Dunhuang, and successfully landed at Urumchi Diwobao Airport at 15:26 p.m. on November 6th, 2013, indicating that the natural icing flight test for ARJ21 aircraft in 2013 was officially started.

Since special icing meteorological conditions were required, this natural icing flight test will innovatively adopt a three-point flight test mode, which means the test points will be set up at and the personnel will be assigned to three places-- Urumchi, Aletai and Karamay respectively ,. By doing this, the meteorological monitoring scope will be greatly expanded, which will be favorable for capturing icing conditions more accurately and also increasing the success rate of flight test.
