Eritrea now served twice daily from Frankfurt by Ethiopian Airlines

One of Africa's best airlines, Ethiopian Airlines has announced the launch of a double daily service from the European commercial hub of Frankfurt to the Eritrean capital and largest city in the country, Asmara using one of its fleet of brand new Boeing 787 aircraft for the six hour flight.

Ethiopian also offers frequent connecting flights between Asmara and the diplomatic centre of the region, and capital of Ethiopia, Addis Ababa with a regular service which flies 8 times each day using the newly built transfer terminal in Asmara. In addition, Ethiopian Airlines has also announced plans to offer flights from Addis Ababa to Massawa (Also known as Mitsiwa) in an codeshare agreement with Eritrean Airlines. Massawa (Mitsiwa) is an important Eritrean port on the Red Sea Coast. Eritrean Airlines is the state owned national carrier of Eritrea with a fleet of two Boeing jets, one twin aisle Boeing 767 and one single aisle Boeing 737.
Ethiopian Airlines is a favourite choice of Alternative Airlines and one we recommend worthy of your consideration when travelling to or within East Africa.
