NEW AIRLINE - Joy Airline (Argentina) obtains authorization to operate regular air transport services of passengers and cargo

 It will connect Jujuy with Buenos Aires and Cordoba starting in November 2026.

NEW AIRLINE - JOY Airline is a new premium regional airline based in Argentina, currently in the pre-operational phase of obtaining certifications from the National Civil Aviation Administration (ANAC). It intends to focus on premium, efficient regional flights with 50-seat aircraft, rather than mass-market travel, serving destinations like Buenos Aires, Jujuy, and San Luis.

The airline focuses on premium regional connectivity, with a, comfort-oriented, and efficient travel experience.

Fleet: Operations will feature smaller aircraft configured with only 50 seats (2x2 layout, no middle seat) to offer more space and comfort.

As of April 2026, the company is in the process of finalizing, training, and obtaining necessary certifications, with tickets not yet on sale.

Destinations: Planned routes include connections from Buenos Aires to Jujuy, San Luis, Villa Mercedes, and Merlo, as well as routes between San Luis and Córdoba, Iguazú, and Bariloche.

JOY Airline is a new, upcoming, premium regional carrier currently in the final stages of certification andaiming to start operations in Apr2026 or May2026. Led by former Southern Winds president Juan José Maggio, it will focus on regional routes using 50-seat aircraft (CRJ200LR), prioritizing comfort, speed, and personalized service over mass-market, low-cost models. As of Mar2026, the company is in the process of finalising its operational authorisation with the National Civil Aviation Administration (ANAC)

seeks to strengthen connectivity between Buenos Aires and the provinces with a premium domestic flight  

The initial project includes planned flights from Buenos Aires to the cities of San Luis, Villa Mercedes, and Merlo, as well as routes to inland destinations such as Córdoba, Iguazu, and Bariloche. However, the airline's first destination was to be the province of Jujuy, after the company signed an agreement with the local government.
