León Airlines to launch in April

León Airlines is a Spanish domestic start-up looking to offer scheduled flights between its León base and Barcelona El Prat using a leased Saab 340 later on in April. 

Backed by local tycoon, Santos Álvarez, the carrier is also looking to serve Palma de Mallorca Son Sant Joan and Alicante with 2x weekly and weekly flights respectively.

 Service to both regions is expected to grow during the high-demand summer season requiring the use of additional aircraft.
