Okay Airways firms up B787-9 order

Okay Airways  has firmed up a Memorandum Of Understanding with Boeing (BOE, Chicago O'Hare) for five B787-9s, signed during this year's Paris Airshow.

Though no delivery dates were disclosed, the carrier has said in the past that the widebody jets would be deployed to its upcoming base at Beijing's new international airport, set to open in 2019.


Okay Airways currently operates nineteen B737-800s and five B737-900(ER)s. It has also inked tentative firm orders for eight B737 MAX 10s and seven additional B737 MAX 8s.
