EVA Air (BR, Taipei Taoyuan) has revised its Boeing (BOE, Chicago O'Hare) order backlog in light of the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on future passenger and cargo demand.
The carrier said in a statement that it formalised a contract with the US manufacturer on August 31 wherein seven of its 15 outstanding B787-10s have been converted to three B777-200Fs and four B787-9s. No delivery dates were disclosed.
EVA Air originally ordered eighteen B787-10s and two B777-300(ER)s back on November 24, 2014.
According to the ch-aviation fleets advanced module, it operates five B777 freighters and five B787-10s alongside four B787-9s. It also deploys thirty-four B777-300(ER)s, nine A330-300s, and three A330-200s.
