ECAir is considering restarting its operations at some point during the second quarter of 2024.
In anticipation of this relaunch, the airline carried out a test flight of your Boeing 737-700 aircraft with the
TN-AJI registration (MSN 33793) in Wednesday, March 27, 2024.
Expansion to regional routes will occur once capacity is added. ECAir currently has two Boeing 737-300 aircraft (MSN 27420 and 27421) stored at OR Tambo Airport in Johannesburg, South Africa, as well as a Boeing 757-200 (MSN 25807) stationed in Addis Ababa.
Before suspending operations, ECAir served destinations such as Bamako, Cotonou, Dakar, Douala,
ECAir is currently majority owned by the Congolese government (99.99%), with the Autonomous Portfrom Pointe-Noire (0.000 015%) and Heli Avia (0.000 015%) as minority stakeholders.
Launched in 2011, ECAir ceased operations in October 2016
