FLEET - The first Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner of Austrian Airlines arrives in Vienna ( OE-LPM (msn 62736))

Austrian Airlines now has two of its 11 planned Boeing 787-9s.

They are operating to Frankfurt (for crew training), New York JFK, and Chicago O'Hare this summer.

Vienna-Frankfurt: daily until June 27, then twice-weekly until August 28.

Vienna-New York JFK: replacing the 777-200ER, it runs six weekly until October 25, with the 767-300ER taking over from October 27.

Vienna-Chicago O'Hare: replacing the 777-200ER, it will operate six weekly from June 28 until October 26, with the 777-200ER taking over from October 27.

The carrier's second 787 entered service on June 21.

The Dreamliner accommodates 294 passengers across three classes: 26 in Business Class, 21 in Premium Economy, and 247 in Economy Class.
