ITA Airways (the Italian flag carrier) is in the process of joining the Star Alliance, with full membership expected in the first half of 2026, following its exit from SkyTeam in April 2025 as part of its acquisition by the Lufthansa Group. This transition brings Italy's national airline into the world's largest airline network, enhancing connectivity for travelers worldwide.
