Air Canada has announced plans to move some of its 38 A319-100 and 30 B767-300ERs to a new
low-cost carrier from next year that will take over some leisure routes to the
Caribbean, Europe and Mexico from Air Canada. Instead of just replacing its
B767-300ERs with new B787-8 and B777-300(ER) with (additional) deliveries
scheduled from 2013 onwards, Air Canada plans to use the aircraft to expand its
low-cost carrier operation by also launching new routes
