AIR SERBIA to acquire first A319

Air Serbia will acquire two A320-200s via a financial lease agreement for use in operations beginning March 30, 2014. According to EX-YU Aviation News, the two twinjets will join the airline's fleet of eight A319-100s and five ATR72s on flights from Belgrade to Paris CDG, Skopje and Podgorica. However, their arrival will mark the retirement of the airline's eleven-strong fleet of B737-300s. The renewed Serbian national carrier is on track to receive its first of three A319s, the latest of which is an ex-Kingfisher Airlines (IT, Mumbai Int'l) machine, YU-APC (c/n 2621), currently undergoing repainting at Dublin Int'l.
