Kenya Airways retires Embraer EMB-170 fleet

Kenya Airways has confirmed to ch-aviation that it has retired its fleet of three EMB-170s. The aircraft type was the smallest in the Kenyan national carrier's fleet.

Based on analysis of schedule data, it presumably still keeps the aircraft as a back-up for now with a very small number of round-trips to Kisumu and Mombasa still scheduled for later this month.

Kenya Airways continues to operate 15 larger EMB-190s equipped with 96 seats in a two class configuration.
