Chinese carriers have taken delivery of 22 new aircraft totally in March 2015, including 10 Boeing 737s, one 777, one 787 Dreamliner, eight Airbus A320s and two Bombardier CRJ900, according to CARNOC database CADAS (Civil Aviation Data Analysis).
Specifically, Xiamen Airlines (MF) received its third Boeing 787 Dreamliner at Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport (XMN) on Mar. 22, which is also China's first 787 Dreamliner equipped with satellite-based Wi-Fi capability.
China Express Airlines (G5) bade farewell to its last Bombardier CRJ200 aircraft (Registration B-3536) on Guiyang-Chongqing route Mar. 31, marking the type's complete retirement from air carrier China Express, and from the civil aviation sector in China. Meanwhile, Shanghai Airlines (FM) retired the last Boeing 757-200 aircraft (Registration B-2875) from its fleet on Mar. 21, making an end of its nearly 10 years' service in the Shanghai-based carrier.
Among the 22 new aircraft, four were delivered to China Eastern Airlines (MU), three to Air China (CA), three to Hainan Airlines (HU), two to China Southern Airlines (CZ), Xiamen Airlines, China Express Airlines and Tibet Airlines (TV), respectively, with one for Spring Airlines (9C), Sichuan Airlines (3U), Shenzhen Airlines (ZH) and Shanghai Airlines.
As of end March, 13 airlines from Hong Kong, Taiwan and mainland China are operating a total of 471 wide-body aircraft, comprising of 25 B747s, 9 B767s, 132 B777s, 21 B787s, 262 A330s, 17 A340s and five A380s. The toll number remained unchanged, with more B777s and A330s and less B747s and A340s.
In addition, there are 173 all-cargo aircraft operated by 15 airlines from Hong Kong, Taiwan and mainland China, including 62 B737Fs, 63 B747Fs, 12 B757Fs, 21 B777Fs, 10 A300Fs and five A330Fs.
