AeroMéxico bumps its ALC B787-9 lease portfolio
AeroMéxico (AM, México City) has agreed to lease a fourth B787-9 from Air Lease Corporation (ALC), the US-based lessor has announced.
In a statement, ALC said the General Electric-powered twinjet would be sourced from its Boeing (BOE, Chicago O'Hare) order book and would deliver in April 2019. Two of the other B787-9s the Mexican carrier is leasing from ALC have already delivered, with the third scheduled to deliver in June 2018.
According to the ch-aviation aircraft database, AeroMéxico operates five B787-9s and nine B787-8s with three B777-200(ER)s due to be retired and replaced by the incoming B787s by late 2017/early 2018.
