CargoLogicAir to launch first scheduled route

CLA’s first scheduled flight will be operated twice weekly between London and Mexico City on Boeing 747-400 (CargoLogicAir)

CargoLogicAir (CLA), a British cargo carrier affiliated with Russia’s Volga-Dnepr Group through the same owners, is gearing up to launch its first scheduled cargo route between London Stansted and Mexico City International Airport. Starting August 19 the flight will be operated twice weekly via Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport on Boeing 747-400. The total cargo capacity on the new route will exceed 200 tons, the carrier announced.

By launching the route CLA will offer customers a wide choice of Europe-Mexico, Europe-Middle East and U.S.-Middle East connections through joint operations with its sister company, AirBridgeCargo, a subsidiary of Volga-Dnepr.

The carrier also announced appointment of Aerocharter company as its general sales agent in Mexico, AirCargoAmericas – in the U.S. and AirFreightLogistics – in Europe.

CLA received its Air Operator Certificate in early 2016 from UK’s CAA. Since then, it has been providing charter services and supporting ACMI contracts globally. The launch of its first scheduled route follows the delivery of CLA’s third Boeing 747 freighter in May 2017. “The arrival of our third 747 freighter means we are ready to begin our scheduled cargo operations and we are confident the routing we have chosen will appeal strongly to customers moving car spares, hi-tech, energy, aerospace and healthcare products,” Dmitry Grishin, CEO of CLA commented.
