Kazakhstan's Zhetysu adds first Let 410s

Zhetysu (ZAV, Taldy Kurgan) has taken delivery of its first two Let 410UVP-E20s on order from Let Kunovice (Uherske Hradiste) following the arrival of OK-JRL (msn 183206) and OK-JRM (msn 183207) in Kazakhstan on Sunday, January 7.

According to the Kazakh Civil Aviation Committee, the turboprops have been procured as part of the Kazakh government's "Nurly Zhol" infrastructural renewal programme wherein aircraft used for local flights are being upgraded with state assistance.

In Zhetysu's case, the Lets will replace its fleet of Soviet-era Yak-40s.
Zhetysu currently offers scheduled services from Usharal to each of Astana and Taldy Kurgan.
