Neos plans scheduled US flights
Neos (NO, Milan Malpensa) has applied for exemption authority to amend its US Foreign Air Carrier permit to conduct foreign scheduled flights ferrying persons, property, and mail. Its 2008 permit only covers chartered flight operations.
In its application to the US Department of Transportation dated March 5, 2021, Neos requests the DOT to act expeditiously to grant it scheduled exemption authority for two years or until it issues the amended foreign air carrier permit.
Neos intends to start marketing the flights as soon as possible and, as such, will poll its application and will advise the DOT of the results.
The carrier requests authority to engage in:
Foreign schedules and charters carrying persons, property, and mail from any point/s behind any member state/s of the EU, via any point/s in any member state and intermediate stations, to any point/s in the US and beyond;
Foreign schedules and charters transporting persons, property, and mail between any point/s in the US and any point/s in any member of the European Common Aviation Area;
Foreign schedules and charter cargo flights between any destinations in the US and any other point/s;
Other charters pending prior DOT approval;
Schedules and charters consistent with any future, additional rights that may be granted to EU carriers under the US-EU air transport agreement.
