The first converted Saab 2000F took to the skies for the very first time. The aircraft, ES-NSJ (2000-037) flew out of Örebro for a 1-hour test flight.
The conversion was done by Täby Aviation Maintenance and had started in January last year. The Saab 2000F-program is a joint-venture between TAM and Jetstream Aviation Capital, a Miami-based lessor which already manages a portfolio of Saab 340Fs.
The first Saab 2000F is destined for NyxAir from Estonia. This company, founded in 2017, is operating a fleet of two ATR42-500s, four Saab 340s, three Saab 340Fs and four Saab 2000s.
