On 10 August 2023, Air India has unveiled its new corporate identity, including a new livery for the aircraft in its fleet. The new identity is part of the airline's restructuring and merger with Vistara conducted by owner Tata Group.
The first aircraft to wear the new livery will be the airline's first Airbus A350-900, which is scheduled to arrive in December 2023. According to the press-release, Air India plans to have the whole fleet repainted by end 2026.
Air India's new logo symbol is called "The Vista" and is "inspired by the peak of the gold window frame signifying limitless possibilities, progressiveness, and the airline’s bold, confident outlook for the future". The brand-new aircraft livery and design features a palette of deep red, aubergine, and gold highlights, as well as a chakra-inspired pattern. It also boasts a striking new custom-made ‘Air India Sans’ font.
