The Portuguese Air Force took Pope Francisco to Fatima

The Portuguese Air Force transported Pope Francisco between Lisbon and Fátima.
transport was carried out in an EH-101 Merlin helicopter from Squadron 751 - "Pumas" commanded by the Squadron Commander, Major Daniel Silva.


Throughout the mission, the Portuguese Air Force committed a P-3C CUP+ plane from Squadron 601 - "Lobos" which monitored the movements, guaranteeing the security of the mission.
For this mission, two other helicopters were also deployed to transport Pope Francisco entourage.
