Air Costa to lease EMB-170 to launch operations

Air Costa will lease an ex-Gulf Air EMB-170 (c/n 17000278) from ECC Leasing to launch domestic operations in the South of India. It plans to initially serve Ahmedabad Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International (AMD), Bangalore Kempegowda International (BLR), Chennai Meenambakkam (MAA), Hyderabad Rajiv Gandhi International (HYD), Pune Lohegaon (PNQ) and Vishakhapatnam (VTZ) from its homebase at Vijayawada. Air India, Jet Airways (9W, Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji International (BOM)) and Spicejet  currently serve the airport already.
