Russia’s MetroJet to take delivery of three A321s

Russia’s MetroJet will take delivery of three Airbus A321s before the summer season 2014. The carrier currently operates two A321s in an all-economy configuration with 219 and 221 seats.

Moscow Domodedovo-based MetroJet is a joint venture of TUI Russia & CIS and Surgut-based Kolavia Airline.

TUI Russia & CIS director of sales and distribution Ivor Vucelic said the aircraft will likely be leased from International Lease Finance Corp. (ILFC), a long-term TUI partner.
