Ethiopian Airlines NS18 changes as of 08JAN18

Ethiopian Airlines this week made additional changes to its planned summer 2018 operation, effective 25MAR18. Latest adjustment includes the addition of 3 African destinations – Kisagani, Mbuji Mayi and Nosy-Be. Planned changes as follows.

Addis Ababa – Abidjan eff 03JUN18 Reduce from 5 to 4 weekly, 787-8 operating

Addis Ababa – Antananarivo eff 02JUN18 787-8 replaces 737-800, 4 weekly (Selected dates by 767)

Addis Ababa – Bamako – Dakar eff 01JUN18 4 of 7 weekly operated by 767, replacing 787-8

Addis Ababa – Bangkok – Hong Kong eff 04JUN18 Service resumption for Bangkok – Hong Kong sector, 3 weekly 787-8 (replacing previously planned nonstop terminator flight with A350-900XWB)

Addis Ababa – Barcelona – Madrid eff 05JUN18 Planned new routing and service launch for Barcelona revised to 05JUN18, instead of 03JUN18. For the month of June 2018, 787-8 operates 2 weekly (4 weekly from 30JUN18)

Addis Ababa – Cape Town eff 01JUN18 777-300ER operates 1 daily, replacing 777-200LR/787-8/-9

Addis Ababa – Chengdu eff 04JUN18 Service operates 3 weekly, instead of 4. 787-8 operating

Addis Ababa – Hong Kong – Manila eff 02JUN18 Planned routing change for Manila, via Hong Kong instead of Bangkok, remains unchanged. 787-8 will operate this route 4 weekly, replacing previously planned A350-900XWB

Addis Ababa – Kinshasa A350-900XWB to be replaced by following

Addis Ababa – Seoul Incheon – Tokyo Narita eff 02JUN18 4 weekly 787-8 service, replacing Addis Ababa – Hong Kong – Seoul and Addis Ababa – Hong Kong – Tokyo routing. Overall frequency for Tokyo increases from 3 to 4 weekly

Addis Ababa – Vienna – Brussels eff 01JUN18 Increase from 5 to 7 weekly. Brussels will be served via Vienna only, Vienna overall increases from 5 to 7 weekly. Service operated by a mix of 777-200LR, 787-8 and -9
