Ruili Airlines, a newly established private airline based in Yunnan province.
Chinese lessor plans to lease former Air Berlin 737-800s to Yunnan regional start-up.
The airline was given permission to launch flights from Kunming earlier this year, and has now started its expansion with an agreement to buy 18 narrow-body aircraft from Boeing and airberlin.
This year, Ruili expects to take delivery of eight Boeing 737-700s and six B737-800s from the US planemaker, plus two B737-700s from airberlin. It then expects to receive another two B737-800s from the German airline next year. It will operate the aircraft from Kunming’s Changshui International Airport
