MU's Chaiman Liu Shaoyong and general manager Ma Xulun stated that MU will firmly support the development of civil aviation industry in Changzhou, operate more passenger and cargo services at Changzhou Airport, and speed up the construction of its Changzhou Base.
The parties jointly studied the planning of Changzhou Airport, which targets to handle over 5 million passengers by 2020 with an average annual growth of 20 percent.
According to initial plan, the new base will occupy an area of 28 mu for its first stage construction, with an investment of 50 million yuan.
Currently, MU operates 11 services at Changzhou Airport including 2 international routes, with 20 flights daily. This year, it will launch more regional and international services from Changzhou to Taipei, Bangkok and Phuket.
