Guangxi Beibu Gulf Airlines Takes Delivery of First E-190 Aircraft

Guangxi Beibu Gulf Airlines Co., Ltd. (GX), a new subsidiary of Tianjin Airlines (GS), has taken delivery of its first aircraft, with an Embraer E-190 landing smoothly at Nanning Wuxu International Airport (NNG) at 12:00 p.m., Sunday.

The start-up airline will commence operations this month with an inaugural flight from Nanning to Haikou, the airline said. Initially, the Nanning-based carrier is committed to operating domestic services with five E-190s. Besides, it also plans to launch more than two international routes to neighboring countries by the end of this year, with more destinations to be added to meet the travel demand of citizens in Guangxi Province.

Beibu Gulf Airlines was set up with a registered capital of 3 billion yuan, in which Tianjin Airlines contributed 2.1 billion yuan, accounting for 70% of total registered capital and the rest 30% (900 million yuan) was invested by Beibu Gulf Investment Group in cash and assets.
