Hangzhou YTO Express to Open First International Charter Service on March 10

Hangzhou YTO Express Airlines Co., Ltd., a Chinese start-up cargo carrier backed by Shanghai YTO Express Investment (Group) Co., Ltd. (YTO Express Group), will open Shanghai Pudong-Inchon-Qingdao-Hong Kong-Shanghai Pudong charter route on March 10, marking it the first private cargo carrier in China operating international cargo service.

With the new international charter route, Hangzhou YTO Express will build an international platform to handle more packages in an efficient way, as well as help it expand its reach to Northeast Asia, the airline said.

Hangzhou YTO Express was set up with a total registered capital of 400 million yuan in which YTO Express Group invested 360 million yuan for a 90% stake. The start-up cargo carrier received primary approval from CAAC in July 2014 and is licensed to operate domestic (including Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan) and international cargo services.
