Tibet Airlines Receives Its 11th Airbus A319 Aircraft

China's Tibet Airlines (TV) took delivery of a new Airbus A319-115 aircraft at Lhasa Gonggar Airport (LXA) on Mar.11, 2015, which is the 11th A319 delivered to the airline and the first one in 2015.
The A319 aircraft, known as the "Plateau Prince", is the most preferred airplane for airlines operating flights to and from the Tibet Autonomous Region. The new aircraft features a comfortable two class cabin, seating 128 passengers with 8 in business class and 120 in economy, providing passenger with more legroom and fresh look in cabin.
The airline said it is scheduled to receive another new A319 aircraft at the end of this month, which will join the fleet of Tibet Airlines as its 12th aircraft.
"According to the 2015 fleet expansion plan, four Airbus A319 aircraft will be added to our fleet this year," said Bai Weisan, general manager of Tibet Airlines. As its fleet expands, the airline will extend its reach to more capital cities and major cities, in a bid to build an air bridge between Tibet Autonomous Region and other domestic regions as well as promote local economy development.
