Titan Airways (ZT, London Stansted) commercial director Alastair Kiernan has told ch-aviation that his carrier is planning to take delivery of a first A319-100 in spring 2016 and a first A321-200 by summer 2016.
The 144-150 seat A319 and the 220 seat A321 will complement Titan's existing fleet of three A320-200s currently operating on wet-lease contracts with easyJet (U2, London Luton), Monarch Airlines (ZB, London Luton) and Jet2 (LS, Leeds/Bradford). The A318-100 and additional widebody aircraft are also under consideration.
Titan also operates three B737-300s (two of which in Quick Change configuration) as well as two B757-200s and one B767-300(ER).
The B737-300s will likely be replaced by Airbus aircraft as part of the carrier's fleet renewal plans.
