Asiana Airlines low cost subsidiary, Air Seoul put on hold

South Korea's independent carrier, Asiana Airlines, which since 1988 has successfully challenged the monopoly of Korean Air has droppoed its ambitions to launch a new low cost carrier from its base at Seoul Incheon at least for the remainder of 2015. The new airline was to be called Air Seoul and was due to take-over a number of low perfroming regional routes from its giant parent.

Asiana has been a full member of the powerful Star Alliance and currently operates a large fleet of over 84 aircraft including Airbus A330's and Boeing 777-200ER's. With a continually expanding network of services, Asiana has a continuing ambition to serve more cities in Mainland China and operates an award winning three class service: First, Business, and Travel.

In September 2015, Asiana launched new routes between Busan and Changsha Datuopu starting September 1, 2015 and between Guiyang and its home base at Seoul Incheon starting September 3. 2015.

With great fares and consistently good on-board service, Alternative Airlines recommend Asiana Airlines to all our customers as one of our preferred airline partners.
