Air Carnival set to take delivery of maiden aircraft

Air Carnival (Coimbatore) will shortly take delivery of its maiden aircraft, an ATR72-500 formerly in service with Kingfisher Airlines (IT, Mumbai Int'l) as VT-CAN (cn 767). Re-registered VT-CMA, the turboprop will allow the start-up to complete its AOP certification with the Indian Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).

Air Carnival will add two more Avions de Transport Régional (Toulouse Blagnac) aircraft to its fleet this year in line with plans to start flights from Coimbatore to Chennai and the rest of Tamil Nadu (via Chennai). Future plans call for a fleet of twelve aircraft to offer extensive coverage of the region.
