euroAtlantic Airways (YU, Lisbon) has transitioned to a widebody-only operator with the retirement of its last B737-800, ch-aviation research has revealed.
CS-TQU (msn 30646) had been inactive since March 2020 and remained under maintenance at Budapest throughout the early waves of the COVID-19 pandemic. It was ferried to Castellón on March 3, 2021, and put in deep storage, only to be reactivated and ferried to Shannon on July 13, 2022, Flightradar24 ADS-B data shows. The aircraft was re-registered in the United States as N30646 on August 15 and is due to be ferried across the Atlantic shortly.
Following the retirement of the B737-800, euroAtlantic Airways' fleet comprises four B767-300(ER)s and three inactive B777-200(ER)s. The Portuguese ACMI/charter specialist has primarily focussed on widebody aircraft, although it did operate up to two B737-300s (retired in 2006) and up to two B757-200s (exited from 2011), the ch-aviation fleets history module show
