DEFUNCT AIRLINE - Air Antilles gets AOC suspended

On 8 December 2025, the French Civil Aviation Authority (DGAC) suspended the Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) of Air Antilles. It did so after an audit that was conducted earlier in the month.

In this audit, the DGAC found several issues that needed immediate attention.

Air Antilles, which was relaunched in 2023 after the previous version went out of business in 2016, had a temporary AOC until the end of January 2026.

Operations started in June 2024 out of its base at Pointe-a-Pitre.

The airline, which has been struggling financially since the launch, is now embarking on a restructuring and is seeking new capital to be able to continue to operate.

Air Antilles' fleet, which is made-up of one DHC-6, one ATR42-600, and two ATR72-600s is currently parked until the suspension is lifted.
