The first flight is expected to take place by summer 2026, however an AOC is still pending.
The carrier is currently in the start-up phase and does not yet have an Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) from the Civil Aviation Authority, an essential document to start operating, But the livery is really beautiful.
Headquartered in Catania with primary bases at Catania-Fontanarossa and Palermo-Punta Raisi, the airline will also operate from Trapani-Birgi and Comiso, covering Sicily’s major travel gateways.
Etna Sky plans to begin with domestic Italian routes before expanding into Europe, the Mediterranean, North America and the Middle East in its second year.
The fleet will debut with four Airbus aircraft: two A321s for short- and medium-haul operations and two A330s for long-haul services
