Air China Zhejiang Takes Delivery of First Airbus A321 with Sharklets

Air China's Zhejiang Branch took delivery of the first Airbus A321 equipped with Sharklets, with a brand new aircraft, registration number B-1877 landing smoothly at Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport at 12:10 p.m. on Sep. 27.


On Sep. 27, Zhejiang Branch of Air China (CA) took delivery of the first Airbus A321 equipped with Sharklets, with a brand new aircraft, registration number B-1877 landing smoothly at Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport (HGH). The newly introduced aircraft expands the branch company' fleet size to 28, and also boost capacity for the airline.

The Airbus A321 is the largest member of the world's best-selling A320 Family. Sharklets are made from light-weight composites and are 2.4 meters tall. They offer operators up to four percent fuel burn reduction on longer range sectors and provide the flexibility of either adding an additional 100 nautical miles range or increased payload capability of up to 450 kilograms.

The airline's A321 features a two-class configuration with 16 first class seats and 159 economy class seats. This new aircraft will be deployed on Beijing-Shanghai Express routes during the upcoming National Day Holiday.
