China Eastern Jiangxi Receives Its 9th A320 Aircraft

Airbus A320 of China Eastern Airlines (MU), registration number B-1865, landed at Nanchang Changbei International Airport and joined the fleet of MU's Jiangxi Branch. The newly arrived aircraft is the branch company's 9th A320 aircraft, which will boost its capacity and serve the airline's regional operation.

According to MU's annual plan, the Jiangxi Branch will lease its only A319 aircraft numbered B-2334 back in 2014, and continue to introduce another A320 in the end of this year. By then, the branch company will own an All Airbus fleet with 10 A320 aircraft, which can help it further improve capacity and save operating costs.

Since its maiden flight from Nanchang to Taipei in 2009, China Eastern Jiangxi has built an air bridge between Jiangxi Province and the world, opening more regional and domestic flights to Singapore, Bangkok and etc. Currently, the branch company operates 12 domestic and international routes, carrying 4,000 passengers every day. In order to meet the increasing travel demand, China Eastern Jiangxi continues to expand its fleet to 20-30 aircraft in the next five years.
