Air Moldova has added a new city to its network map – and a new airport in the Russian capital ‒ Moscow Sheremetyevo ‒ which joins its existing flights to Domodedovo, which it flies 19 times weekly. Started on 16 December, the new service to Italy will be flown twice-weekly (Tuesdays and Saturdays) by the carrier’s 114-seat E190s and will face no direct competition. Operations to Sheremetyevo began on 22 December and will be flown four times weekly by Air Moldova’s A320 fleet. Aeroflot is the incumbent on this particular 1,165-kilometre long airport pair, offering a daily service.
