germanwings to operate Eurowings A330s in October

germanwings (4U, Cologne/Bonn) will operate a trio of A330-200s, destined for sister carrier Eurowings (EW, Dusseldorf), on flights from Cologne/Bonn and Hamburg Fuhlsbüttel to Palma de Mallorca Son Sant Joan this October.

Wet-leased from Sun Express Deutschland (XG, Frankfurt Int'l), the twinjets will operate both routes over the period October 12 to 31. Thereafter, they will begin longhaul budget operations for Eurowings in November starting with flights from Cologne to Varadero, Cuba and Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. Dubai Int'l, Bangkok Don Mueang, Puerto Plata, and Phuket are slated to commence in mid-December.
