VietJetAir has added three more routes during the last week to its rapidly expanding network. Two of these are domestic routes that do not involve either of the airline’s main bases at Hanoi or Ho Chin Minh City. However, the most significant route is the airline’s first to Malaysia, operating daily flights between Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) and Kuala Lumpur (KUL) from 1 June. Competition on this route is tough with no fewer than four airlines already offering a total of 11 daily flights between them. All three of VietJetAir’s new routes will be performed using the LCC’s fleet of 36 A320s.
