China Eastern Plans Two Osaka Services in October


China Eastern Airlines has filed an application with the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) for permissions to launch two international services to Osaka, Japan in October, 2016, according to an announcement released Tuesday on the official website of CAAC.

Subject government approval, the Shanghai-based carrier plans to adjust current Beijing-Qingdao-Osaka service to a nonstop service from Beijing to Osaka; while it will also launch a new Chengdu-Qingdao-Osaka service in October 2016.

Both routes will be operated on a daily basis, using Airbus A321 on Beijing-Osaka route and A320/A319 on Chengdu-Qingdao-Osaka route, the CAAC added.
Besides, Tianjin Airlines seeks approval to launch a twice-weekly Dalian-Kitakyushu service in October, using A320 aircraft.
The Air Transportation Department of CAAC is soliciting public comments on the application until September 21, 2016.
